Tom and I drove up to Perth, the day before we had to be at the Trivium gig.
I remember I ate nothing but Hungry Jacks for 3 days straight. Yummy! Well, only on holiday eh
The Trivium gig was amazing.
Best concert I ever been to, and I have been to a few live gigs.
Seen heaps of bands including but not limited to Bring Me The Horizon, The Red Shore, Cancer Bats, Trivium, Heaven Shall Burn, Black Tide, The Butterfly Effect, Cog, My Dying Days, The Amity Affliction, Wish For Wings and Canniblast.
Plus Im going to see Eskimo Joe when theyre up here at the end of August. Plus Grinspoon and Hilltop Hoods at the Cairns Timeout show thing.
Also, havent got my ticket yet, but talk to me in 3 months and Ill tell you how Slayer and Megadeth were. Also planning to hit the Arch Enemy show when they tour in November, which will include Winds Of Plague.
Back to my story, the crowd were great, Trivium kicked ass. I still cant get over how much fun I had. I wish I had had more money, so as to buy a Trivium t-shirt they were selling at the venue. But oh well, and I couldnt take pics coz my new camera phone didnt really work after the toilet incident.
After the band finished playing, and had done an encore x2, Matt was waving and slapping hands of random crowd members, I ripped by Trivium shirt off and threw it at him. The throw sucked but I still hit Matts feet. He laughed. That was cool. In my memory forever.
After the gig, well the train station closes at midnight on Tuesday. We ended up walking for over 4 hours, through Perth in the early hours of the morning, in May. It starts getting very chilly about April. But we did it, 4 dudes walking through Peth, all wearing black, and I was in my skinny legs, may have looked a bit suss.
After the gig, like the day after, I did nothing, relaxed, but the day after that I hitched a ride back down to Bunno. Wanted to see more people I hadnt seen in ages.
I found out about the Zoo Weekly model search contest final, the day it was on, organised to get there with a mate and it all happened. Seen a few friends I hadnt seen in ages.
You know how you see those people years after you knew them, and they have done so much in there life, matured so much and what-not. Its amazing. The runner up of the contest ended up being a girl I used to sit near in class at school. Not near as in ooh I like girls, I sit near her, eeheehee.
Wtf if that, thats gay, so no.
But true story, anyway shes gorgeous. Always had been, though still is, and 20 years old. Plus apparently there was a kid, and being engaged, wow girl, done well for yourself.
Me on the other hand, well I could have gone far with so many things, but they never seemed to come through. I was thinking about this today at work. It was random, I was sitting there staring at monitor, hoping the admin lady wouldnt notice, and thinking shit, what could have been and I put on a sad face,
I still havent finished my holiday story have I, I will the next time I post. Promise.
